God is with you… …in the excitement of first steps, first words and the first day of school …when you are frustrated, overwhelmed, or alone …in the middle of the night and the middle of the unpleasant …in your most important relationships God is there in every busy, exhausting, and exhilarating moment of being a mom. It’s one thing to know in your mind that God is everywhere. It’s quite another to feel in your soul that he is by your side, holding you up, sustaining you. In Always There, you’ll find an inspiring combination of rel-life mothering stories and Scripture that assures you of God’s abiding presence, written by popular voices such as -Ann Voskamp -Alexandra-Kuykendall -Kathy Lipp -Renee Swope -Shannon Milholland -Kelly Combs -and many more No matter where you are in your mothering journey, Always There offers you hope and encouragement along the way. From the humorous to the solemn, the fifty-two short devotions will capture your heart as you reflect upon your important role as a mother and upon your ever-present and steadfast source of strength.
…I too look at other gals, see the exterior of their lives, and desire what I see. From the outside my friend’s husband, children, home or job seems superior to my own. I see only the positives, like eyeing a bank account just after payday without subtracting the bills from it. The sum looks large until you notice all the expenses it must cover. I want to be a woman who attracts friends. So how can I? I have found I am most appealing when content with what I have and truly thankful for what God gives my friends. When I am this kind of woman, others flock. When I am not, they retreat… I want to read off my own menu and not allow my eyes to wander to the next table. When my eyes are busy noticing all the ways You are working in my life, I count my blessings.
