Be a part of an IAI Short Story Compilation
There is no deadline for sending your story. As I get submissions, I’ll fill up compilations. Submit anytime you like and as often as you like.
It’s not too late for you to be included in a compilation. Your story should be more than 1,500 words and less than 3,000. All genres welcome. We’re all splitting the profits from the sales, and the eBook will be heavily promoted all over the web.
There is no cost to submit your story.
It’s FREE to be included. If your story is accepted to appear in a compilation, then you are required to provide to the Index a $5.98 Amazon gift card/code.
The eBook will sell for $2.99.
The $5.98 Amazon gift card/code you are required to provide is for the Index to purchase two (2) copies of the compilation in which you appear. From the $5.98 Amazon gift card/code, you will receive one copy of the compilation, and the other copy will be given away in your name.
I’ve had to make this change, because some authors who have been included in previous compilations haven’t even bothered to purchase the eBook in which they appear. I know this based on the number of units sold per compilation.

FICTION, NON-FICTION AND ALL GENRES WELCOMED!
Any and all profits will be split evenly between me, as one of the authors and the compiler, and all those included in the compilation.
REQUIREMENTS
Your story cannot have been published in electronic or printed format by any other publisher in any other publication; not even a periodical or digest, nor can it appear on your blog/website or any other blog/website.
The length of your short story must be more than 1,500 words but less than 3,000 words.
I employ three non-partial readers to read through every story to let me know if they think a story should be included or excluded from the compilations. Please do not just throw something together to be included in the compilation. Quality will get you into the compilation…period.
Regardless of the decision of the three non-partial readers, I reserve the right to exclude all stories that I find to be unethical, immoral, illegal or that are just plain nonsense and don’t actually tell any kind of story. I have two other published authors (different from the three non-partial readers) on standby to give me their opinions on content I find questionable. If they BOTH overrule me, then your content will be included.
You must give your story a rating: G; PG; PG-13; R; NC-17; XXX. A rating of NC-17 or XXX will not get you excluded from the compilation. The ratings are just to help readers decide what they want to read.
Do NOT type your title and name is ALL CAPS. Please use sentence case only.
No stories will be accepted as email attachments. You will need to submit your story through the submission form. There is a link to the form at the end of this information.
OTHER INFORMATION
Your story will be published by SolaPress, but YOU retain the copyright to the story, and you will be listed as the copyright holder on the copyright page.
YOU must edit your content or employ someone else to edit your content. Short stories with an abundance of spelling/grammar/punctuation errors will not rejected.
I am more than capable of editing your content for correct sentence structure, spelling, grammar and punctuation, but there is a charge. You do not have to employ me as your editor. This is just an option that’s available to you.
Each eBook compilation will include up to 30,000 words, and there will be only ten (10) authors per compilation.
PLEASE NOTE: You may submit more than one story to be included if you have several stories all under 1,500 words, but you will only receive one-tenth of a percentage of the profits like everyone else. This is only fair since most of the authors well exceeded the 1,500-word minimum. If you have one short story that totals 700 words, another short story that totals 500 words and another short story that totals 1,200, then you can submit all three to meet the 1,500 word minimum but not exceed the 3,000 word maximum. AGAIN, all your stories together will get you the same percentage as each of the other authors.
