One Hundred Things You Should Be Sick Of By Now by Patricia Avant
Synopsis:
One Hundred Things (about yourself) You Should Be Sick Of By Now, is a journal drawn from my own personal experiences, of trying to get to the best me I can. It affirms that most of us have issues, that won’t get fixed over night. But no matter what, we must keep moving forward. Moving forward, involves getting sick of, old ways of thinking, acting and being, that hold you up. And positive thinking will only work, when you have the courage and conviction, to challenge your own behavior. Because only the soul hungry for change, would dare to ask “why do I act this way?” And then deal with the answers, without placing blame. So, what are you Sick of? Are you a gossip? Are you sick of living in the past? Are you sick of not even knowing what your own belief system is? Are you sick of holding grudges against people, you can’t seem to forgive? Are you sick of never finishing what you start? Good.
The author has rated this book PG (not necessarily suitable for children).
Excerpt:
1- I am sick of—Lost Time [NP]Living in the past. Lost in stupid thoughts. Tripping on fearful scenarios that never happen. Daydreaming—but never taking any action. The time keeping us, me, you from living, working, playing in the now. The time that keeps us from being truly present in any given situation, that is lost time. # 2-I am sick of—Un-forgiveness [NP]No matter what a person has done to you or anyone else, if they honestly and truly have remorse, and are sorry for what they did and accept responsibility for what they have done, it appears the creator will forgive them. On the other hand, if you don’t forgive them, you will not be forgiven for things you have done # 5-I am sick of—Not being clear about what I want [NP]How could you possibly describe what you want, if you don’t’ know what you want? #9-I am sick of—Not respecting my own passions [NP]The truth is, every job, every thing you do, that is not in some way connected to what you once dreamed of doing, anything contrary to, or not leading to, whatever you have a passion for. Whatever you would love to do, within the boundaries of God, but are not doing, is slavery. That’s right. I said it! #10-I am sick of—Living in the grip of the past [NP]There are steps to take in order to claim the life you want to live. One of the first and to me, one of the most important steps, is letting go of the past and all the ghost that live in it. Chief among these is the ghost of past rejections. #28-I am sick of—Not tapping into my God given, mental, physical and spiritual powers [NP]Our true powers lie in our ability to tap into the higher frequencies of universal creativity, that are available to all. Creativity is ALL. It’s there inside you.
