“I am sorry,” I exclaimed, crying uncontrollably. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would be lying here bloody and beaten, I would have told them, “Yeah right.”
“Bitch, did you think that you would be able to leave me like that, huh? After everything that I have done for your punk ass? You got me and the game fucked up,” Devaugn said as he kicked me in my stomach another time, making blood fly out of my mouth.
“Baby, the girls will be here any minute, please stop, Daddy, I am sorry. I never meant to hurt you.” My left eye was bloody and I could barely see. I tried to wipe my mouth again, but my arm wouldn’t move.
“You need to learn that it is dangerous fucking up someone’s household and then acting like you’re so damn innocent.” Devaugn kicked me again while pulling out a Colt 45 revolver from behind his back. Tears were streaming from his eyes and his face was full of rage. “I treated your girls like they were my own. I did more for them than those punks you got pregnant by. I hope that they do walk in and see they mama like this. It will teach them not to play with a man’s heart.”
I said a silent prayer and heard the lock on the front door click unlock.
“Oh my God, my babies,” I yelled and closed my eyes. As the front door opened, I heard the blast of a gun shot ring out in the air.
